AUGUST 2006

MARCHMONT ST GILES

Firstly we would like to thank you all for your patience and support last year while renovations were taking place in the church halls. Although during our first few weeks of term we will remain in the Church itself, by September we hope to be settled back in the new building. The Branch Secretary for a Monday will remain the same with Mrs Suzanne Raeburn and we warmly welcome Mrs Ivy Brown to Marchmont on Fridays.

INVERLEITH AND GOLDENACRE

As many of you will be aware we have moved our original Wednesday Goldenacre branch just along the road to Inverleith Parish Church on Ferry Road. We currently have a position waiting to be filled for our Wednesday Branch Secretary who deals with fees, stock and enquiries. Anyone wishing to be considered for this job should contact Mr Patterson on 0131 334 0399.

The Saturday classes have been split between these two venues and we would like to welcome Mrs Mary Patterson and Mrs Margaret Pye who will share the role of Branch Secretary.

CORSTORPHINE OLD PARISH

For some classes at this Branch you have also experienced an unusual year moving between the two halls to accommodate for Church Organ repairs and we thank you all for your support and patience and of course welcome you back to the main centre on Corstorphine High Street. Ms Rose Flemming has kindly agreed to come back and continue her role as Branch Secretary.

CORSTORPHINE ST ANNE'S

As we run this branch on Tuesdays and Thursdays our Branch Secretary Ms Nancy Nicol will be returning in her post but only on a Tuesday. Therefore, we would like to welcome Mrs Ivy Brown who has kindly agreed to take on the Thursday role.

BELGRAVE

Although there are a few younger classes that take place here during the week, it is primarily our Senior Branch and we have chosen not to have a Branch Secretary. The teachers will be happy to receive fees and uniform orders if they are handed in with the students name and class clearly written on the envelope.

GALASHIELS

Mrs Coutts who has been with us for a number of years retired from this post during the last term and we have already welcomed Mrs Hoppe into the role as Branch Secretary.
