
JACQUELINE CASEY (A.R.A.D / M.U.K.A)
Jacqueline started dancing Ballet, Jazz and Tap at the age of 5 with Debra-Ann School of Dancing. She competed in Dance festivals throughout Scotland and later trained as a Highland dancer, whereby this took her to compete in Europe, Canada, USA and throughout the British Isles.In order to gain additional Ballet experience, Jacqueline joined the Manor School of Ballet, as a pupil and completed the full range of RAD Grade work.
Jacqueline progressed into full-time dance training at the Edinburgh Ballet Academy and Edinburgh's Theatre School and gained Advanced RAD and Advanced ISTD qualifications for Ballet, Jazz and Tap. At this time she also studied Contemporary dance, drama and singing.
In 1992, Jacqueline returned to the Manor School of Ballet and whilst joining the teaching staff she completed her teaching qualifications in RAD and with Debra-Ann School of Dancing completed her Ballet, Highland, Tap and Jazz UKA teaching qualification.
During her dancing career Jacqueline has danced at a number of pantomimes and danced for Her Majesty the Queen and Mel Gibson at the premier of the film Braveheart at Stirling Castle. In 1994, Jacqueline gained an overall 4th in the Highland World Championship, held in Cowall, Dunoon.
For 12 years, Jacqueline performed at various Scottish shows in Edinburgh, including 'A Taste of Scotland' at Prestonfield House Hotel.
Throughout Jacqueline's career she has thoroughly enjoyed teaching pupils and helped produce and choreograph Manor's bi-annual production, assist with The Orchestra of Scottish Opera Classic Concerts, assist at Edinburgh's Telephone Choir and teach dance at Edinburgh Zoo summer school.
As a Partner of the Manor School of Ballet, Jacqueline is looking forward to this challenge and help maintain the high standards set by the school founder, Noel Platfoot.
