• Terms and conditions.


    • 1. FEES


    • All class fees must be paid in advance of the block start dates which are invoiced three times in the academic year. This secures a pupils place in the class. A late payment fee of £10.00 will be added to any account that has caused us to send more than one reminder and withdrawal from classes would follow shortly after. Please note that in some branches this may mean re-joining the waiting lists .Exam , show entries and Scholarship applications will only be accepted if class fees are up to date.


    • 2.ABSENCES

      Absences may be credited for 3 or more consecutive lessons, if prior notice has been given in writing.


    • 3. WITHDRAWAL

      Pupils are required to provide 6 weeks notice in writing if withdrawing from any class.
    • The Directors reserve the right to ask any pupil to leave if deemed necessary.


    • 4. DRESS CODE

    • All pupils must dress appropriately for class at all times. Long hair must be worn in a bun and short hair in a hair band with fringes clipped back.
    • No jewellery will be worn in class.
    • No outdoor clothing or footwear will be worn in class.
    • Only approved Manor School Uniform will be acceptable.
    • Teachers reserve the right to refuse a pupil from class when inappropriately dressed.


    • 5. EXAMINATION AND PRESENTATION CLASSES

    • Parents are advised in writing when a pupil is due for an Examination or Presentation.
    • The Royal Academy of Dance Presentations are conducted from Grade 1. It is compulsory for pupils wishing to sit their Presentation to attend extra coaching lessons, details of which are given out with entry forms.
    • The Royal Academy of Dance Examinations and extra coaching classes are only offered to selected pupils from Grade 3 standard or at the teacher's discretion.
    • The Directors reserve the right to withdraw any pupil from any Examination or Presentation during the preparation time without any refund.


    • 6.PROPERTY

    • Property or belongings of a pupil are brought to and/or left at the school entirely at the pupils own risk.
    • The Directors regret that liability cannot be accepted for loss or damage to any property or belongings.
    • We would advise pupils to have all belongings clearly named.


    • 7. SCHOOL TERMS AND HOLIDAYS

    • The school year is divided into 3 Blocks of 12 weeks. As public holiday dates differ, we do not observe any of the Monday holidays. We do however close for Christmas, Easter and summer holidays and 2 mid-term holiday breaks of 1 week each in February and October.


    • 8. SCHOOL CLOSURE

    • In the event of extreme weather it may be necessary for us to close the school. This decision would only be taken in the event of very heavy snow fall where roads and pathways may become dangerous .Notification of this would be by local radio announcements , our own answering service (0131 334 0399) and by the blog on the school website . Please note classes will not be refunded in these rare events and only if possible will be replaced later in the academic year.
